WELCOME TO THE FOODCOMM SURVEY!

The European food market is changing rapidly, driven by reduced market intervention for agricultural and food products, globalisation, new consumer trends as well as stricter environmental, food safety and food quality regulations.  These developments impose challenges and provide new opportunities for all levels of the European food chains, from farmer to retailer.

In this respect the kind of B2B (business-to-business) relationship selected by food chain actors might become of increasing relevance.  The FOODCOMM research project aims at

  • finding out which type of B2B relationship and kind of communication dominate in the different food sectors of selected EU countries,
  • identifying the economic, social and cultural factors that have an influence on the type and quality of communication and economic relationships among enterprises in the food sector,
  • obtaining first insights on the relevance the type and quality of communication and economic relationships has on the performance of enterprises and food chains.

The outcome of the project will derive industry measures to enhance sustainable economic relationships and communication within the food chains and as well as provide recommendations for potential EU policy development.

The research team of the FOODCOMM project would like to ask you to share your business experience and knowledge by answering this questionnaire.  Your responses will greatly help to better understand B2B communication and relationships in European food chain.

You too will benefit from participating in this survey.  After you have filled in the questionnaire we will provide you automatically with a benchmark which allows you to compare your business with regard to the type, intensity and quality of your B2B relationships and communication relations relative to other comparable farms or companies.

Thank you very much for your support to bring this project to success.
