Workpackage 7 (WP 7)
Objectives
To design and operationalise a planned series of dissemination activities which might include workshops and other forms of personal interaction with business representatives; seminars with institutional audiences, including the Commission; a web-based electronic guide for business and institutional use, and a final international workshop to be held in Brussels.
Description of work
An overall draft plan for dissemination based on the workpackage schedule will be developed at commencement of the project. This will include identification of potential national and international conferences and seminars at which the output from the project may be presented as well as the most important fairs and exhibitions in each country. An identification of key stages in the research during which results could/should be presented to the consultation panel, business representatives and institutional audiences. Key stages during which data collected could be fed back to interviewees and proposed timing of potential press releases will also be included in the draft plan. This draft plan will be modified as the workpackages progress.
A project website will be established within the first 6 months of the project. This will be updated regularly by the FOODCOMM team, with main responsibility lying with the project coordinator (UNI BONN). Feedback questionnaires will be developed as required during the course of the project and key stages during which feedback should be sent will be monitored.
At the end of the project, an Electronic Guide will be produced which will contain the project's key findings. The guide will draw on theoretical and practical issues and present results from both the cross-country survey and the country-specific research and identify useful examples of best practice from the project. The format of this will be established following consultation with potential end users such as trade/industry associations, agribusinesses etc.
A hard copy version of this guide (in form of a Book) will also be produced at the end of the project. An ‘intention to publish’ system will be established and will operate through the coordinator to ensure there is no conflict between partners in obtaining output from the project.
A final International Workshop will be organised during which the overall findings of the project will be presented to scientific, corporate, administrative and other interested audiences.
